A skin plan that recommends less, not more

Your answers and a two-minute face scan become one formula, and every claim carries its evidence grade.

SkinFormula reads your skin from one photo 🔬 and builds the week night by night: which evenings get an active, at what strength, and which ones let your barrier rest.

It checks every product against your answers, your medicines and today's sun 🧴, and tells you when a clinic, or a doctor, makes more sense than another bottle 🩺.

Your answers, plus a scan, equals your plan

Built once, then re-weighted every time you scan. Nothing is added until the app can say why.

Answers

Tell it once

Age, what bothers you, how your skin reacts to sun, pregnancy, medicines, and what you already use. Each answer changes the plan, and the app shows how.

Scan

Two minutes in daylight

Redness, oil, pigment, texture, pores and lines, measured on the phone. If the light is wrong, the scan says so instead of guessing.

Your formula

The week, night by night

Active nights spaced by what your barrier can take, recovery nights in between, your own products in the right slots, and a clinic calendar when it earns its place.

The scan

Your face, measured in two minutes

Hold the phone at arm's length by a window. The app finds your face, lines it up on your eyes, and reads six things from the photo, region by region. What a photo cannot see, like hydration, comes from your answers and is labelled that way.

Check a product

One photo of the pack. A verdict for your skin

Nearly two thousand products are recognised, and any other label is read on the phone. If a product is new, type its name and paste its ingredient list. The verdict weighs your answers, your medicines and today's sun.

ExampleNot for you now

A retinal night serum

Retinalretinoid
Niacinamidecalming
Ceramide NPbarrier
Parfumcan irritate

You take isotretinoin, so no retinoid on top of it. The ceramides are fine on their own; ask your dermatologist before adding anything active.

Evidence · niacinamide, C₆H₆N₂O

Graded, sourced, and honest about the gaps

Every ingredient, procedure and article carries a grade. Where the research is thin, the app says so.

It stays on your phone

No account and no cloud. Photos, scores, answers, blood values, clinics and the chat live on the device. A backup is a file you save where you choose.

  • Your location, rounded, only for today's ultraviolet index, and only when you allow it.
  • A product name, when a lookup in the public ingredient database is needed.
  • Your report for a dermatologist, only when you share it yourself.
  • With Pro, only when you use it and agree: your question and a short profile summary for the assistant, one scan photo for skin analysis, or a pack photo or product name for product recognition, sent to our server and to Anthropic (Claude) for the answer. Our server keeps none of it; Anthropic does not train on it and deletes it within 30 days. Switch it off any time in Profile.
  • Period dates from Apple Health, if you connect it, are read only and never leave the phone.
  • Never diagnoses: it sorts findings into home care, a cosmetologist, a dermatologist or a doctor.

Inside the app

Your day, your skin explained, your treatments, and a library that answers the next question.

Today: date, weather with the sunscreen note, and the morning routine

Today

The weather and when to reapply sunscreen, today's appointments, the supplements to take, then morning and evening care, step by step.

Your results: the skin score and your skin explained

Your skin, explained

What the scan sees, how old your skin looks and why, what it needs, where to start, which supplements and blood tests are worth a look.

Treatments: calendar, routine, week and procedures

Treatments

One calendar for clinic and home. Your routine uses the products you own while they are still good, and says what is missing, for face and body.

Advice: illustrated articles on skin, sun, actives and body

Advice

Over sixty illustrated articles and a graded knowledge base: sun, actives, acne, injections, body skin, supplements, every claim sourced.

Before you ask

Is the scan real, or a guess?

Real, and limited. The camera measures colour, shine, texture, pores and lines on the phone. It cannot measure hydration or elasticity, so those come from your answers and are labelled that way. A change under five points between scans is noise.

Does it diagnose anything?

No. It sorts findings into home care, professional cosmetology, a dermatologist, or a doctor soon, and it never names a disease.

Will it tell me which procedures to have?

It tells you what fits your age, skin type and scan, what is too early, and how often a treatment is usually repeated. The practitioner has the last word; the app helps you ask the right questions.

Which languages?

English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Russian: every screen and every article. The deeper knowledge base is being translated now.

What does it cost?

The scan, your routine, the treatments calendar, the weekly check and every article are free. SkinFormula Pro adds the personal skin assistant, skin analysis of your scan photo and product recognition from one photo: $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year (€9.99 or €49.99 in the euro area, CHF 10 or CHF 49 in Switzerland; the App Store shows the price in your currency). The yearly plan starts with a free week, once per Apple ID. Cancel any time in your iPhone settings.

Does the AI see my photos?

Only if you use a Pro feature and agree first. Skin analysis sends one scan photo, once, to our server and to Anthropic (Claude), the AI provider that reads it. Our server does not keep it; Anthropic does not use it for training and deletes it within 30 days. You can switch AI off any time in Profile → AI features. Everything else stays on your phone. The privacy policy lists exactly what goes where.

What about the body, supplements and blood tests?

Tick what bothers you on your body, from back acne to eczema, and the routine covers it. Supplements are graded by the human evidence and checked against your medicines. Enter a blood result and the app says what doctors usually advise, which foods help, and puts the re-test in your calendar. Your doctor decides; the app never diagnoses.

Fewer products. Better skin. A reason for every step

SkinFormula is a wellbeing tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose. Anything that changes shape, colour or size, bleeds, or does not heal in four weeks belongs with a doctor.
